I'd like to welcome Guest Blogger Aimee Eiguren of the Gluten Free Bowl of Soul Blog.
Aimee just returned from a wonderful trip to the Big Island of Hawaii, where she was able to enjoy some incredible gluten-free meals at the hotels and restaurants she visited. She shared her experiences via reviews on our website, GlutenFreeTravelSite, and she sums up her gluten-free dining experiences for us here...
"For anyone planning a romantic get-away or fun family vacation to Hawaii’s Big Island and looking for safe, delicious gluten-free options, paradise awaits! There are some really great and authentic Hawaiian dining experiences to be had, and the service is impeccable. Not only will you be welcomed at each and every restaurant, resort or little beach snack shack with a big smile and friendly face, but chances are pretty good that there’s also a warmed basket of gluten-free bread waiting for you!
"Hawai’i has always been known for its Island hospitality and beauty, and on this last trip I just had the pleasure of experiencing, I can also assure you that the level of awareness for gluten-free eating and food preparation is high and definitely on most restaurants’ radar screens. Always be your own best advocate and ask the wait staff and chefs a lot of educated questions about your food preparation, then enjoy. I found on this trip that eating safely in Paradise is a reality and pleasure that truly allows you to enjoy food safely while gazing at the gorgeous sunsets, playing on fantastic beaches, hiking in tropical jungles, embracing that magical air and scenery and yes…drinking Mai Tais!
Aloha! I hope you, too, can enjoy all the gluten-free options that Hawaii’s Big Island has to offer."
