Gluten Free Restaurant Menus: Glory Days Grill Offers Ongoing Nightly Specials and Extensive Gluten Free Menu

As you may remember, we reported on Glory Days Grill's launch of their extensive gluten-free menu last summer. We also had the opportunity to talk with Tony Cochones, Director of Food and Beverage for Glory Days, which has locations in Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Screen shot 2011-01-19 at 10.18.34 AM They've had a great response to their gluten-free menu, which is not surprising, given the range of choices they offer. Whether you want to try their Buffalo Chicken Dip or their famous wings (gluten-free, cooked in a dedicated fryer, and with a range of gluten-free sauces to choose from) or their equally delicious ribs (also with a range of gluten-free sauce choices), you won't feel like you're "missing out" on the traditional American fare this family-oriented sports-themed restaurant offers. Our family has dined at Glory Days on many occasions and always had a great meal -- our personal favorites include the ribs, wings, and salmon.

No matter what you're in the mood for, you're sure to find it here...Gluten free entree possibilities include steaks, 10-spice chicken, ribs, salmon, and shrimp. And there are plenty of burgers to choose from, too -- just without the bun, of course (they are supposedly working on finding or making a good gluten-free variety). Other than skipping the bun, cornbread, and croutons on salads, there aren't any significant modifications that need to be made to the selections they offer on their gluten-free menu (all things to avoid when ordering have been clearly spelled out on the menu). They are fastidious about avoiding cross-contamination in the preparation of the food, and the staff has been well-trained. Their fries (both traditional "seasoned" fries, as well as sweet potato fries) are fair game, since they, like the wings, are fried in a dedicated fryer. Other side choices include mashed potatoes, redskin potatoes, coleslaw, and steamed veggies. There's even a Kids Menu offering kid-sized portions of burgers, chicken breast, and ribs.

Screen shot 2011-01-19 at 10.19.25 AM Glory Days is a great place to go watch a game (on any one of their MANY screens around their restaurants) or just relax with family or friends. They are constantly running promotions, and they even have FREE Wi-Fi at all their locations. Here are the details of their ongoing promotions (dine in only):

$5 Appetizers EVERY NIGHT after 9 pm

$5 Classic Burgers (again, without the bun!) and $6.50 Specialty Burgers -- All Day Every Monday

And I love how Glory Days is always giving back to the local communities it serves. They also offer all Service Men and Women in Uniform a discount.

Be sure to check with your local Glory Days to verify the promotion, as participation does vary among locations. We'd LOVE your feedback on your own Glory Days experience. Please feel free to respond to this Blog post -- or better yet, submit a review to our website, GlutenFreeTravelSite, so others searching for "gluten-free friendly" restaurants in their area can benefit from your feedback!
