Gluten Free Restaurant Menus: New Gluten Free Items on the Fall/Winter Menu at Glory Days Grill

Our family dined at our neighborhood Glory Days Grill this past Saturday night, and we were pleasantly surprised with some new gluten free additions to their menu.

Glory-days-grill-seared-tilapia-gluten-freeOf course, our boys ordered their perennial favorite...the gluten free BBQ ribs, which I'll agree are among the best...fall-off-the-bone tender with the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. I wasn't sure what I was in the mood for until a new item on the Gluten Free Menu caught my eye...the Seared Tilapia served over steamed broccoli with an orange citrus butter sauce. And let me tell you, it was as good as it sounds! With the sprinkling of diced tomatoes, it made for a beautifully presented entree, tasted great, and was a good value at $11.99.

Another new addition to the menu -- and available on a gluten free bun -- is the bison burger. If you've never had a bison burger, this is a great opportunity to try one. My husband said it was delicious -- like eating a full-flavored steak burger. And bison is actually healthier than beef, while also having an even richer taste. How can you go wrong with that? According to the Stone Ridge, VA location's Assistant General Manager Tom Fink, Glory Days Grill  has found a high quality source for their bison meat -- a rancher who is just starting to expand his distribution to the mid-Atlantic states where Glory Days Grill has a presence.

Petite-chocolate-torte-gluten-freeSince Glory Days Grill offers their gluten free guests Udi's gluten free burger buns, this opens up another possibility from their new Fall/Winter menu...the "Beef on Weck" sandwich (tender, shaved and grilled roast beef served with grilled onions). Just be sure to alert the manager you would like this modified to be gluten free on a gluten free bun, since it is not featured on the Gluten Free Menu. Fortunately, Glory Days Grill has continued to offer their to-die-for gluten free dessert...the Petite Chocolate Torte. This is a must-try item, if you still have room! Unfortunately, our family did not leave room for dessert on this visit, since we had filled up on their signature BBQ Wings (gluten free!) for an appetizer before our entrees. Here's what the torte looks like, however...and it tastes like pure chocolate truffle (we've enjoyed it on many prior visits!). This is something you'll probably want to share since it's so decadently rich. But it's worth every calorie!

This is the very same sauce that they use for their famous wings! Now you bring a little bit of Glory into your own home by using it on ribs, wings, or barbeque chicken. Buy two or three bottles (one for yourself and another one or two as gifts for friends), and you'll get a special discounted price.

Glory Days Grill has locations in Maryland (Bowie, Eldersburg, Ellicott City, Frederick, Glen Burnie/Pasadena, and Towson), Virginia (Burke, Centreville, Culpepper, Fairfax, Gainesville, Lorton, Manassas, Reston, Richmond, Sterling, Stone Ridge, Winchester, and Woodbridge/Dale City), and West Virginia (Ranson/Charles Town). If you live in any of these areas -- or are passing through in your travels -- I highly encourage you to give this sports-themed, family-friendly All-American grill a try! There's something on the menu to please everyone, and their range of gluten free items is impressive -- and continually expanding.
