Gluten Free Journey to New Zealand, with a Stop in French Polynesia
February 28, 2019
For quite some time now, I've been impressed with the level of gluten free knowledge in New Zealand. Like Australia, its larger neighbor to the west, New Zealand seems to be pretty high on the GF learning curve and offers a decent number of places to dine if you're gluten free. Of course, this is easiest when you're in the heart of one of the major towns of New Zealand Auckland, Wellington, or Christchurch. (You can do a quick search of those towns -- and others -- by entering their name in the Search box on this page of our website.) When you do some of the more picturesque and remote sightseeing, it's obviously a bit tougher!
That's why Ellen Morse of Gluten Free Travel-Us set to work planning an itinerary for her gluten free clients interested in visiting New Zealand. She wanted them to be able to see all the highlights -- and even make a stop for a few days of R&R in French Polynesia -- without worrying about how they could stay safely gluten free.
As always, Ellen has planned a first-rate trip and vetted the hotels where you'll stay -- and the tour companies and guides who will being seeing that you are fed during excursions each day! You'll be in good hands, thanks to her careful planning. (After all, she knows exactly the questions to ask, as she is gluten free -- and dairy free -- herself.) This suggested itinerary of New Zealand and French Polynesia is not a group tour. It can be taken at any time and with anyone of your choosing -- and you can even customize it based on your own interests.
Take a look at all the places you'll get to see in this Bucket List journey: New Zealand's natural splendors like Milford Sound, waterfalls, wildlife, beaches, lagoons, vineyards, and underground wine caves. The adventurous side of you will love the opportunities to hike, cruise, ride a jetboat, bike, snorkel, and take a 4-wheel-drive safari! You'll get to experience some of the more remote highlights of this area of the world -- without worrying for a minute about what you can eat. Ellen will take care of all the details for you, as she has for so many other satisfied gluten free clients over the years.
